We are pleased to announce that the G.Wayne Thomas "Self Titled" Album has finally been remastered onto CD and is available from next week. For the first time ever we also have a selection of G.Wayne Thomas T Shirt designs available as well.
When G.Wayne Thomas produced the soundtrack for "Morning of the Earth" & "Crystal Voyager" in the 1972 - 73 he had already had a hit single with a song called "Take It Easy". He was working of Warner Music at the time he was commissioned by David Elfick and Albe Falzon to organise the music for "Morning of the Earth" a surfing movie they were putting together. G.Wayne not only wrote the title track "Morning of the Earth", he also penned the number one hit single on Radio 2SM in Sydney at the time "Open Up Your Heart" along with the beautiful "Day Comes". Overall the soundtrack is a tribute to G.Wayne's genius with big strings and sound in some parts while other are sparse and cut down to the bare essentials. Over the years the soundtrack is what has given the movie its longevity. "Morning of the Earth" is still regarded as one of the best movie soundtracks of all time and according to Albe Toms is one of the highest selling Australian movie soundtracks ever.
Some comments about "Morning of the Earth"......

good guy.
"It's a very rare event when straight film image and soundtrack combine to produce something of quality." more John J Francis
